RESCUED SEA LION BLINDED BY GUNSHOTS FINDS NEW HOME
Videographer
Meet Senor Cinco - a male Californian Sea Lion discovered on a beach in Vancouver, suffering from gunshot wounds to the head. Rescued by the Marine Mammal Rescue team, he's now found a new home at the Vancouver Aquarium. This is his story.
We collaborated with Ocean Wise to help them tell the story of Senor Cinco’s rehabilitation since being found. It was a great opportunity to learn about his journey, and truly understand how these animals can impact our lives.
RESCUED BABY SEAL TREATED AT VANCOUVER AQUARIUM HOSPITAL
Videographer & Editor
A rescued baby fur seal is being treated at the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Mammal Rescue Centre after being spotted swimming irregularly in waters near Hardwicke Island, B.C.
Mo is estimated to be about seven months old and was admitted to the hospital dehydrated and severely underweight. She has spent the last few days resting, bathing and slowly improving. Mo is still being tube-fed and will be introduced to whole fish once she's further stabilized.
We had the opportunity to see Mo the morning after he was rescued and transported to the Marine Mammal Rescue Centre. The team works tirelessly to rehabilitate Mo in hopes for her to be released back into the wild. We had to work efficiently and give Mo her respectful space before she had to rest because of her rehabilitation process. With the tight space we worked in, most of the shots were handheld on a C100M2, using various lenses to capture Mo’s beautiful details. This video was released on social media channels and local news stations.
